Kia ora Whaitaima & Jeffrey I
have already recommended you to our local primary school, as the most
wonderful, interactive puppetry and drama show we have had in our kindergarten! We
all loved the genuine and warm interactions you both had with our tamariki.
They were fully involved from before the show even started, as you included
them in your setting up and jamming session before you began. We
were also impressed by how well you ‘read’ the children… picking up on their
little personality traits and involving both the confident and the whakama
among them in very appropriate ways. As we
sang ‘Ka kite’ to you it was like fare welling old friends. Thank you so much
for bringing numbers and letters alive and by truly entertaining us with Apo,
Uira and all of the Atua. Such great messages and so much fun!!! On a
personal note, I also really enjoyed joining in and being included so
naturally… I am a bit of a drama queen, hehe.

Kia
ora Whaitaima and Jeffrey
I
would like to provide some feedback for you following the wonderful show you
presented at our centre last week. We were thrilled that we were able to include
all our children aged from 8 months to 5 years. As you could see, your
entertaining, interactive style kept all our children fully engaged throughout
the hour long show. Our younger children sat still and focused for the whole
show, they were mesmerised by the show. You
have a real talent with children and in the art of puppetry/storytelling. You
are able to show case how puppetry/storytelling can be such an amazing learning
aid. Our children discussed the Maori atua names with me at Kai time as we
talked about the performance - they were able to show a real understanding of
their different realms. You are able to bring Te Ao Maori storytelling to life in
a meaningful way. Congratulations on your show, please keep up the good work.
Kind
regards Diana
